Lord Creator (Kentrick Patrick, 1935-2023) was a hugely successful Trinidad-born calypso and soca artist during the 1960s. Alongside Cuban Rolando Alphonso, Barbadian Jackie Opel and fellow Trinidadians Lynn Taitt and Lord Bryner, he was an important outside influence during the early development of the Jamaican music scene. Released in 1964 and produced by 'Sir' Coxsone Dodd, Big Bamboo was one of his biggest hits. Lord Creator lived in Montego Bay, Jamaica, until his death in June 2023.
