Torn Movie Poster
In 1931 US photographer, Walker Evans captured a weather-damaged version of a movie poster and edited it to produce this iconic photo accentuating the violent slash across the woman’s face. Titled ‘Torn Movie Poster’ it demonstrated the power of photography as a social/political art form and caused a sensation at the time.
